English in class a daily frustration?

Deduction Card Games

These activities are designed to be completed in partner-pairs. One participant will lay out a deck of 18 cards and the second participant will draw one card from an identical deck of 18 cards. Then the first participant must use the unit vocabulary to ask questions to deduce which of their 18 cards matches the “secret card” in her partner’s hand.

Realistic Role-Play

Our printable role-play material sets are designed to perfectly complement the vocabulary word lists of specific units. Just download, print, cut, & glue according to the provided instructions to create highly-realistic hamburger ingredient kits, pizzas, cups & bowls, animals, fish tanks, pet food, play money, airline, train & movie tickets, restaurant menus, and much, much more.

Interview Printables

These interview forms make it easy for students to practice their speaking skills with interview activities. Students can work with a partner or a group and take turns asking questions about the information missing from their own interview form. No writing or reading skills required. Students can simply circle one of the icons representing the missing information.

Knowledge Gap Activities

From communicating about family trees to creating art from shapes based on a partner’s verbal communication, students speaking and listening comprehension skills will expand quickly as they learn to use a variety of sentences patterns and unit vocabulary to communicate a wide range of meaning. Printable and easy to assemble with a little cutting & gluing.

The Foundation of Every Unit
