Hands-on phonics & reading materials.

Gamified learning that will turn phonics & pre-reading activities into thrilling fun.

No book work required.

Phonics and pre-reading learning don’t need to be boring ever again.

Every Playguistics unit comes with a set of phonics activities that gamify learning the essential skills of reading.

In our curriculum, phonics learning is integrated into all of our flashcards.

Each flashcard includes a color-coded phonetic symbol for that word’s starting phonics sound.

Your students will begin to subconsciously associate each symbol and color with the sounds they represent.

Students will learn to differential vowels as their own category, because in our curriculum materials, they are always coded with orange.

Our tile-based phonics matching game takes your students’ basic knowledge of each word’s starting sound and turns it into fun!

Students can practice matching the correct starting consonant, ending constant, vowel sounds, or all three at once to each CVC word tile included in the game materials.

We didn’t use typical phonics practice words for this activity, like dam and quail. Instead, we chose the words that children are most likely to use in their daily life, at home or in their English classroom.

If your students aren’t yet very familiar with the basic letters of the English alphabet, introduce them to our letter matching game.

Students can practice matching uppercase and lowercase letters together and then check their own work by flipping over the tiles and seeing if the images on the back line up!

For students as young as four that are not yet familiar with the letters in the English alphabet, matching upper & lower case letters is a great way to encourage them to pay attention to what makes each letter unique.

Finally, to get students excited and motivated to learn each phonics sound, introduce them to Phonics Fish.

It’s our version of the classic card game Go Fish…but with a special twist!

Each card back has a phonics clue about what the word on the other side must be.

Phonics Fish is a great game for helping students develop their phonics skills while simultaneously practicing their vocabulary word recall. Two fish, one stone.

Early readers have their place, but some students are initially overwhelmed by the experience of attempting to read an entire book.

To ease them into reading, our speaking activities include lots alternative material options that include bite-sized portions of reading practice.

We’ve also integrated CVCs into a lot of materials — like our family member activity, where all the family members have names like Sam, Jen, and Kim.
